Cat Reviews

From the article: It's MY Scratch Lounge and YOU Can't Have It! March 27, 2008 5 out of 5 stars If the Miller kitties aren’t using the Scratch Lounge for scratching purposes, they are using it for napping purposes! So our sofa gets a double break, the cats aren’t using the sofa for their scratching games and they are sleeping on the Scratch Lounge instead of the couch cushions.

Cat PicScratch Lounge in Cat Wrangling Made Easy! From Dusty Rainbolt's new book: When given a choice, the Rainbolt Test Kitties preferred Scratch Lounge... Even the declawed rescue cats seem to enjoy the feel of cardboard pads beneath their feet... The Rainbolt Test Kitties gave four paws to the Scratch Lounge.

Pet Product News

Scratch Lounge was awarded the 2006 Editor's Choice by Pet Product News! The Scratch Lounge is designed to encourage cats to scratch and lounge on it. It lasts up to 10 times longer than traditional flat scratchers, according to the company. We liked this innovative scratcher because of the amount of scratching surface and the fact that it doubles as a napping spot for cats.

The Scratch Lounge's simple, yet functional design has substantially improved upon the conventional cat scratcher by tapping into a whole new aspect of cat psychology.

The test cats loved this highly evolved cardboard scratching pad that doubles as a bed... The lounge seems to constantly be occupied by many of the test cats. We gave it five paws.

ON THE PROWL:

A Feline Purr...spective

By Stacy Mantle, PetsWeekly.com

The Scratch Lounge plays a distinct role in our household now. It’s used for sleep, play, communication and general mayhem. It is also a source of arguments as the cats fight over whose turn it is to lie in the middle of it, and often two or three can be found curled up inside together.

The feral cats that we care for love the Scratch Lounge as well. It’s not “walled” and this offers the wilder bunch a fast route of escape while allowing them to feel secure at the same time. I believe it’s the first time I’ve seen them truly relax together.
